F200F

The World's Lightest 200hp Four-Stroke, ever!

Yamaha has done it again. The newly developed F200F Outboard engine offers the power of the previous F200C, but in a package that is smaller, lighter and more efficient.

Tipping the scales in at an industry leading 227kg, the F200F is 50kg lighter than the previous F200C, that's 18% lighter whilst maintaining the same legendary reliability and horsepower output.

Employing an in-line four-cylinder configuration, with Variable Camshaft Timing (VCT) and weight-saving technology throughout, the new engine produces 200HP while remaining the lightest engine in its class. The light weight F200F is better suited to a wider range of boats, which equates to improved fuel-efficiency, as well as better performance.

Similar to the revolutionary 4.2L V6 outboards, the new F200F is smooth and quiet. Featuring the newly redesigned Reliance Shift Dampener System (SDS) as standard hardware. In addition, the outboard employs newly developed counterbalance shafts for vibration-free, quiet boating.

With practicality in mind, the F200F features a newly designed 50-amp alternator which offers a 13 percent increase in charge during idle, and the popular Variable Trolling RPM Switch (VTS) system; allowing fishermen the opportunity to get the most out of their adventures.

The F200F also plays host to a wide range of industry leading options developed by Yamaha, such as Yamaha’s optional Y-COP (Yamaha Customer Outboard Protection) anti-theft system and an optional tilt-limiter. These features place the F200F firmly alongside Yamaha’s top-of-the-range V6 (4.2L) and V8 Outboards.
